Lucy Lou is 6 months old – half a year old! (And of course big brother is now 3 years old.) Lucy is just the sweetest thing. She loves to sit by herself, but doesn’t usually enjoy tummy time. She loves to stand up (with assistance) and “dance, dance, dance!” She gives the sweetest kisses and hugs, and has started showing off her hilarious laugh more and more. Her newest skill is clapping, and she LOVES to clap all the time! Still no teeth, but she is drooling up a storm and chewing on everything. I can feel a bulge, but I think she will be a late teether like brother.
Speaking of brother, Lucy loves Noah. She gets upset when he is upset and loves when he interacts with her. She enjoys pulling his hair and eating his hands. He is very sweet to her most of the time – even giving her the most precious kisses on the top of her head! But he is still sometimes a little jealous if she gets too much attention, and often does the “don’t touch me” dance. She has found her temper and shows it off when she loses her patience. She also loves to squeal/scream this awful shrill squeal that is liable to burst your eardrums.
Lucy is getting to be quite a chunk. ❤️ She weighed 9 lbs 11 oz and was 27 inches long at her doctor’s appointment. Lucy loves eating. Her favorite food is definitely bananas, but we enjoy apples and pears too. Solids seem to have helped a lot with our reflux, so much so that Mommy is now able to eat a bit of dairy without upseting her tummy too much. Her tummy takes a bit of a while to adjust to new baby food, but we are slowly adding new ones!
