Our Easter Baby Chick sessions from March were absolutely adorable! I love these sessions every year because it’s such a joy to see the way young children interact with and love on our chicks. As always, our chicks are raised after our photos on a beautiful free-range horse and chicken farm up in Huntsville, Alabama. This year’s chicks were very friendly and enjoyed meeting all of the sweet kids that came out to the studio. We got such adorable pictures from all the beautiful sessions this year, and I am so excited to finally share them with you all!
I’ll start off with my own son’s quick session. He is clearly loving being a photographer’s kid and having to pose for pictures all the time ;). Notice the “I give up” helicopter pictures about halfway through.
This sweetie was scheduled for a first birthday session as well, and she did such a great job! She was very good with the chicks and not in the least bit scared!
Sweet Ava loved the chicks. She loved holding them, picking them up, chasing them around the studio, and even giving them hugs! I also LOVE her adorable nose-scrunching smile. 🙂
This little was definitely a little more cautious when meeting our chicks, but he soon warmed up. By the end of our session he was sad to be leaving the “dogs” (as he called them) behind. He was also full of the funniest little amazed “WOW” expressions!
This adorable little girl was SO EXCITED about the chicks. She was a pro at handling them and would have happily adopted one if she could have. She was so upset when our session was over and she had to say goodbye.
This cutie was my youngest session. He did a wonderful job being brave and interacting with our chicks. We got some adorable photos with him trying to figure out what those strange creatures were.

This big crew was a lot of fun. The girls loved the chicks, however the boys were definitely a little terrified.
