I’m posting this a month late, as little Miss Lucy was 2 months old yesterday… oops!
At a month old, my new daughter, Lucy, is becoming more and more alert. She is still a little cross-eyed when looking at things, but she loves to talk and coo. She tries to smile at Mommy with a big open mouth. She is getting better neck control and usually enjoys tummy time. She is Mommy’s girl and is already sleeping through the night (8 hours the last 2 days!). She is usually pretty good about putting herself to sleep now when she is swaddled, as long as Mommy is there to put the pacifier back in every two seconds!
My son, Noah, is still adjusting to his new baby sister, but he’s getting there. He likes to talk about how she says “pickup” (a.k.a. hiccup) and how she is eating and getting burped.
I was able to bribe Noah to hold Lucy for the first time ever. And LOOK! He even wrapped his arm around to snuggle her. He was hilarious and kept acting like she was tickling him. But I am so pleased with the results!
