Meet Pensacola Photographer, Shelley Barrett
I am a mom of four crazy kids – Noah (9), Lucy Lou (6), Annie Mae (5), and little Molly Jo (2). They keep me very busy! Our family moved to Pace, Florida from the Birmingham, Alabama area six years ago. We absolutely love our life here. We have found this area to be so friendly and welcoming!
Photography is truly my DREAM JOB, and I count myself so lucky to love what I do.
I grew up in Birmingham and I have always had a passion for photography that began with photojournalism and travel photography. I tried to choose a more “classic” job-path and majored in Elementary Education, since I have a great love for children and teaching. I worked in preschools and elementary schools for four years before deciding that I wanted to pursue an education in Computer Science. I loved working in programming, but once my first son was born, I discovered that I loved photographing babies more! At that time, I took the “plunge” and began my photography business full-time. It is truly my DREAM JOB and I count myself so lucky to work with such amazing people!
Some random facts about me:
- I love the colors yellow and black and white.
- I love music and singing. I played clarinet, flute, and oboe in high school, as well as piano and bass guitar.
- I am obsessed with games and puzzles and trivia.
- My favorites are cheese dip and margaritas. Yum!
- I’m actually half blind in one eye.
