Pensacola Cake Smash | One Year Old Baby Girl Lina

I met this sweet family when Lina was just a newborn for her newborn photography session in my Pensacola Newborn Photography studio. She was the most beautiful baby girl then, and still the absolute cutest one year old now. I absolutely adore clients who allow me to photograph their babies over the course of a year – it’s as fun for me as it is for you to watch these cuties grow in their first year of life. It’s such a special, way-too-quick time!

When I heard we were hoping for a fall themed session, I knew that my absolutely favorite flower – sunflowers – would be the perfect addition to this classy session. I adore how the coloring and tones in this session turned out – have I mentioned I LOVE sunflowers. It’s so perfectly fall and classy and rustic all at the same time. Lina was seriously not sure about the studio. Honestly, it seems like more “quarantine babies” (babies who have spent a majority of their lives during this epidemic and thus not as used to social interaction) are much more weary of strangers, especially the silly lady with a big black camera and silly mask who makes funny noises. But we can usually manage to get a few sweet faces, if nothing else!

She made the BEST faces. This was her “crying” face to express that she was displeased with whatever we were asking of her. It was so hard not to just laugh.

This was probably one of my favorite cake smashes lately because I learned a new trick! This sweet girl was NOT interested in the sweetness of the cake. But her smart mom and dad had also brought some Sonic fries (luckily Sonic is right across the street from my Pace photography studio… very convenient!) because they knew how much she loved them. We ended up burying french fries in the cake to help her “dig in” but it totally worked because we got a few adorable pictures out of it!
